Where in the Valley - Twin State Fruit Sign, White River Junction

Here is the answer for Where in the Valley...? for February 11 to March 7, 2003

Twin State Fruit Sign, White River Junction

This is the old Twin State Fruit sign on the back of one of the warehouses on the road {"Railroad Row") near the new courthouse in White River Junction. The building dates from around 1890. There used to be a sign for Charlie Kelton's business covering this sign.

There's a good description of the historic buildings in downtown White River Junction in the Connecticut River Historic Sites Database website.

Barbara Duclos, Ray Buskey, Connie Filbin, Dexter Cooper, Jim Olson, Al Cole, and Jim Packard were the first correctly to identify this location.
